1. Right click on the worksheet tab (EG : Sheet 1) which you wanna move/Copy.
2. Click on move or copy, now move or copy dialogue box opens. Where You can either  move the    worksheet to the same workbook or a new workbook.
3. To move the worksheet to a new workbook
 i) Select the “TO BOOK” drop down list provided and select (new book).
 ii) Now click on the sheet name (EG : Sheet 1) you wanna move.
 iii) Check the Create a Copy button
4. Click ok

A simple way to move the worksheets without copying all the data and formatting again.

1. Select the desired cells were you need to enter the data (eg : A1:A10)

2. Type your Text/Formula in the formala bar.

3. Hit ALT + ENTER at the same time.

4. Now you can view your text in all cells ranging (A1:A10) in a single hit.

Hope this would be an easy method of entering data into multiple cells.

Just follow the below few steps to do it instead of clicking each cell.

1. Lets for example enter some raw data from A1:A10 and C1:C10, so the mid cells B1:B10 are empty.

2. Now press F5, “GO TO” pop up box appears.

3. Here, Click on “SPECIAL” tab, “GO TO SPECIAL” pop up box appears.

4. Click on “BLANKS” radio button and click on “OK”.

5. Now you can a range of cells besides A1:C10 getting highlighted.

6. without doing any changes press “CTRL + 1″ to display “FORMAT CELLS” dialogue box.

7. Make sure you clear the “LOCKED” check box in “PROTECTION” tab and click “OK”.

8. Now, click on “REVIEW” tab from the “RIBBON” and click on “PROTECT SHEET” you can either enter a password or click ok.

9. Now you can see the already filled up cells locked up.

Hope this TIP would help you when you try to lock some specific cells in an excel sheet.

Name manager can be added in two ways:

Method I:

1. Create a table or a list eg (A1:A10.)
2. Now select the above mentioned cells and click on “NAME BOX” ( see the attached snapshot) which is just besides the “FORMULA BAR” and rename the cell refrence as “TABLE”(You can create your own name) and hit enter.
3. Simple, Now the name has been added to the “NAME MANAGER” list.

Method II:

1. Select the cells for which you need to change the name.
2. Go to “FORMULAS TAB” in ribbon and click on “NAME MANAGER” (CTRL + F3)
3. click “NEW” and enter the desired name as you want and click ok.
4. Your name is been added to your name manager list.

Hence forth you can search your table/list very easily, Just press “F5″ and type “your desrired name as given in name manager.”

To copy an image simply select it, press [Ctrl] and drag it to a new location.

Can we select the text Horizontally? Did we ever thought of selecting the text in such a way?

Yes, we can select the text horizontally,  all you need to do is just hold on the “ALT” button and drag your mouse.

After selecting your text, you can cut/copy/delete the selection.

This tip helps you to figure out the changes you and your collegues made in a worksheet.

NOTE : This option works only if your workbook is shared.

To share your workbook and display the edited cells go through the below steps:

1. Click on review to display the “REVIEW” tab in the Ribbon.

2. On the “CHANGES” tab click on SHARE WORKBOOK, and make sure “Allow changes more than one user at a time” is Checked from the “EDITING” TAB.

3. Now Click on “ADVANCED” tab and make sure that “Keep Change history” radio button is selected and finally click “OK”.

4. Now, Click on “TRACK CHANGES” and select “Highlight Changes” .

5. Highlight Changes dialogue box appears, select your desired “When & Who”  options and make sure that you click on “LIST CHANGES ON A NEW SHEET” radio button and click OK.

6. Excel displays all your changes which you and team made in the past.

Inorder to change the Default File Location go through the simple steps mentioned below:

1. Open Excel/ Word/ Access/ Powerpoint file.

2. Click on Microsoft Office button.

3. Click on Options which is on the right side bottom of the file menu.

4. Options dialogue box opens, click on Save which is one the left side of the dialogue box.

5.  Type your desired location in the default file location tab.

I. Adding a document to your recent documents:

1. Open an Excel/word/acess/powerpoint file.

2. Click on Microsoft office button, you can view the recently used documents on the right side the file menu.

3. Locate the file which you want to pin.

4. Select the corresponding pin, When you see the pin turning to green colour your document is pinned.

II. Increasing/Decreasing the Number of Recent Document List:

1. Open Excel/word/access/powerpoint documents.

2. Click on Microsoft office button.

3. Click on OPTIONS and go to ADVANCED where you can find “SHOW THIS NUMBER OF RECENT DOCUMENTS“.

4. The number will be 17  by default, you can add upto 50 documents.  If you wish to clear the list mark it as “0“.

You can also change this selection to either upper, right or left cell every time you hit enter(or) can permanently disable the usage of Enter key in Excel.

For doing so follow the below steps:

1. Open Excel File.

2. Click on microsoft office button.

3. Click on “Excel Options” which is the right side bottom of the menu.

4. Excel options dialogue box opens.

5. On “Advanced” disable “After pressing Enter, move selection” to disable the usage of enter.

6. Else select for the direction you want the cursor to move every time you hit enter.
